I thought, 'I don't need a video; how hard can this be?' Then I looked at the manufacturer provided instructions and they are insanely incomprehensible. Worse than China bad translation; like they found a sheepherder from Afghanistan (no insult intended to sheepherders nor Afghans) who had never seen a foreigner and never zerked anything in their lives to write the instructions. I mean what does 'engage Staking on Rod' even mean?! So, thank you for making this video and taking something that should be easy and keeping it so.

I had a Saturn ion they didn’t have a key fob. All that comes with is a regular key and it makes no sense for it to be chipped. I took the chip out the old key and glued to the inside of the plastic next to the ignition, and it worked fine for years and years.

The loud TV in the back ground was very distracting.

Mine won't go into green zone. I've tried several cans, the needle initially oscillates in the greenzone then it goes downto white zone. Not sure if this is normal. I am using small 12oz cans. Maybe I should try the 15oz can you're using. Also, it helps to have one that has a longer hose to charge the Sprinter.

It worked for Me, I have a 2003 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab Truck and I put the "Chipped-Key" right on the Ignition and the Ace-Harderware non-chip key in the ignition and it fired right up the first time. I think I will just attah my chipped-key to thr ignition and use the other non-chip keys since I only have the one chipped-key. Thanks for this information 😉👍

For those who can't tell where the hose is. It is in between the engine and the fire wall. Where the air intake goes into the rear of the engine.

I watched another video which was a much quicker replacement of the starter. He didn't take any of the covers off at all. Just disconnected the starter from the battery, removed the starter attachment bolts, and dropped the starter down from underneath the cover. Inserted the new starter under the cover, reattached the bolts and the battery connections. Very quick and effective swap out.

In the forums people say, no way Dorman. That you should use OEM Mercedes or Beru controller. Beru glow plugs over OEM Mercedes. Report back if you feel you have issues with that Dorman part.
